FSFE at LinuxWorld Expo 2005

As some of you may know already, the FSF Europe (FSFE) will attend the
GNU/LinuxWorld Conference & Expo 2005 again.

GNU/LinuxWorld is one of the most important tradeshows related to Free
Software business applications, all over Europe. The event takes place
from November 15 - 17, 2005 in Frankfurt (Germany).

Like in the years before, the FSFE will attend as exhibitor with an
appropriate booth. To man the booth, we are looking for Fellowship
members and/or volunteers interested in Free Software and thus would
like to support the FSFE.

The main work will be to answer questions and to involve visitors in
interesting discussions related to many aspects of Free Software.
T-Shirts and other merchandise will be sold, too. Furthermore, it is
planned to present the Fellowship program incl. the OpenPGP compliant
smartcard again.

Please give me a short note, if you are interested in supporting the
FSFE this way. A short statement incl. a time frame in which you would
prefer to be with us would be a good idea, too.

Thanks,
Volker

Back from LinuxTag...

LinuxTag 2005 is over and I am still a bit tired. In sum, it was very successful for us - at least in my opinion.

I would like to thank Joey, who made our booths possible and who
answered all my annoying questions! - It was impressive to see how professional he works.

And finally I would like to thank everybody of our team for your help and support at our booths! Even if it didn't look like that - I enjoyed it!

I started to do some rework (final accounting of our sales, etc.).

See you,
Volker

Volunteers / Fellows wanted

 Hi all,

LinuxTag is coming...

LinuxTag is one of the most important events dedicated to Free Software in Europe. It will take place in Karlsruhe (Germany) from 22nd to 25th of June 2005.

Like last year and the years before, the FSF Europe will be present with at least one booth at LinuxTag 2005. - If everything works well, we will be present with two booths. A professional one, dedicated to politicians, business people and newbies to Free Software and a Community/Fellowship dedicated one.

To man the booths, we are looking for volunteers and/or Fellowship members interested in Free
Software and its support.

The main work will be to answer questions and involve the visitors in interesting discussions related to many aspects of Free Software. We will sell T-Shirts and something like that in our merchandising zone,
too. And we are planning to present the Crypto card currently used within the Fellowship, as well as the Fellowship itself at a separate booth.

Please give me a short note, if you are interested to help us. A short statement about the time frame in which you would prefer to help us would be a good idea, too. More informations related to the current booth planning state can be found here.

Thanks,
Volker
