The FSFE hold a booth during the Braderie de Lille (see one of my previous blog entries to know what it is) this week-end (6th-7th of September). Rainer and I came there. We were within a "Free Software Village" with many other charities which care about Free Software and Freedom in the digital society :
- many LUGs from the North of France (Chtinux...)
- Wikimedia, Mozilla Foundation, APRIL, oOo, ubuntu-fr
It was a great event ! The first event we made in France for a long time.
More than selling FSFE's T-shirts and goodies, speaking with the free community, getting in touch with them was really important. So we did it !
I ate clams and French fries, the typical meal during this event. The restaurants make a contest each other : the one which has the highest pile of clams wins !
It was a pleasure to meet Rainer. We both laughed a lot.
But it was two hard days (and nights) : we hold the stand from 7a.m to 10p.m on the first day, and on the second day it was raining a lot: typical weather in North of France.
Here are some photographs : enjoy !

Clams !
