Microsoft whines about IBM playing unfair to them and by doing this admit that OOXML is about pushing it as a "product" securing its profit stream, no more, no less.
I particularly like that quote: "It is war. I am sorry if it is too hard for you."

MS would love this to be seen as an MS vs. IBM issue. If they can convince people that campaigning against OOXML amounts to doing free lobbying work for IBM, that would discourage a lot of people. Our reaction has to be that this isn't MS vs. IBM, this is about all companies and individuals being about to take part in the development of useful software.
